Sorry to hear you are having trouble.Your question \ observation seems valid, however, it is more of the mechanic nature and not one that seems related to the product actually installing or working. Support primarily is utilized for installation, product failure issue or reporting reproducible bugs found in products. For your issues, you would be best served by posting in the products respective forum as other experienced users and monitoring developers alike would be better suited to answer them.

Hello everyone, here is the answer I got for an umpteenth ticket and therefore act, I post what to me, ruin my pleasure to play GalCiv3 since version 2.6.

I hope you can help me because since the release of the extension Crusade, I finally find a worthy successor to GalCiv2, which is in my opinion the best 4X I played, and yet I tried more than one.

I have three questions to submit to you and I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge of the English language.

First, I would like to know why Malwarebyte detects the settings file as a threat and always removes it when I launch the game and that Malwarebyte is activated, making use of my CPU and my RAM at almost 100%?

Secondly, why does the launcher settings file remain pristine white with Malwarebyte disabled in non-Windows services?

And finally, my hobby since the transition to version 2.6, why some buildings can be destroyed and others no and there is no risk of conflict to possess several wonders unique to each player?

1) A problem with Malwarebytes, not with GC. Can't you tell it to leave the Galciv directory alone?

2) I don't really understand, but I think the answer is the same as 1).

3) That's the way it's designed. It is not a bug. Get used to it.

FWIW, some "malware" hunters try to kill anything they see as executables or system configuration files, particularly if your file association link them to an executable that is dangerous to the system. This includes .ini, .inf, .reg, and several others.

Are you running with Administrator authority? You might want to move to a Use privilege account and disable Malwarebytes in it.

1)I tried to exclude the file pref.ini in Malwarebyte, then the files GalCiv3 and GC3 Crusade and to finish the game folder but it has no effect on my
 excessive consumption of RAM and CPU.


2)Sorry to misunderstand, but the English language and me, that's not it. I just think that if there is an .ini file, there must be some data
 written on it, otherwise, I do not see the point.

3)If this is not a bug, which I had understood on various forums, it is a choice that is more than questionable, because if we except the Galactic 
Capitals and Wonders, we should be able to reconfigure the planet according to our strategic needs. In addition, it seems random, there is no
logic about why and how suchand such buildings. This is very unfortunate and that is why since the 2.6 update, I no longer play GalCiv3, preferring
to return to GalCiv2 or Master Of Orion 2.Of course, it's ugly graphically and GalCiv3 would have the right to many honors and to be at the top of the
