Bug? or missing something?

This is weird, after few battles my ship has 38HP, when attacked again next turn the ship started with full HP?! ending with 110HP. Basically being undestructible.

I have researched living ships tech, but i don't think this has something to do with this.

I think that's the tactical repair from living ships.

That is right.

While playing as the Iconians before Crusade, I would sometimes attack a weaker ship or fleet just to get my ships to heal completely quickly.
