Hello,
Wasn't sure if I should post but I played a game and felt like it was worth a try.
I am new and played maybe 4 or 5 games a while back then had to stop. Picked it back up and was trying to learn a bit. At lot of what I know came from the guide linked and a youtube video. Playing the TEC rebels until I get the hang of things.

Edit: changed replays as I played real people in these.(better scenarios) I try to improve my research(after expanding fully) by starting on the resource area more and trade ports in order to keep my game-play smoother when building some late game ships. Went for 1 cap ship with a fleet as well. Although I questioned using the colonizer vs something like the Marza a lot. Since the Marza seems to be stronger.
Still struggling a bit with ship selection when trying to counter / attack fortified positions. Then knowing which route to go in the Tech tree. Then what to prioritize when focus killing units especially when a star-base and hangars/repairs are involved.
Replay 3 against a non AI however it was my like 6 or 7th game of the day. By this time I finally got a better expansion with more aggressive play butoverall his ships still seem to outmatch me. If he had kept going I think he could of won.
Replay 4 was interesting. It felt close although I can't say. Biggest issue was not knowing how to counter his starbase and hangar setup. I could of avoided it but then my home world was wide open if he attacked. Maybe with patience and a Titan I would of been better but he had to leave and I wanted to see if my fleet had enough power to take out that world. I thought the flak frigates would save me from hanger defense.

Any feedback is appreciated. Although I might be asking in the wrong place.
