Seriously, folks, this game, thanks to continued attention from the developer continues to improve. If you've been sitting on the fence about purchasing or not, here's your chance at a great price.
Note that in contrast to some other new 4x space games coming out, GC3 is entirely turn based. Equally important to me is that their are no Star Lanes! Your ships can move where ever they can reach so strategy isn't lamed to fighting at the bottlenecks caused by those choke points created by Star Lanes.
The Gal Civ series of games doesn't have tactical combat so combat is auto-resolved. This is not a problem to me since while I play GC3 in conquering style, I play it as a strategy game and don't mind not being able to direct my fleet in combat. It still can be fun to look at the combat viewer to see how my newly designed ships are doing.
Great price for a game that I am sure will continue to receive much attention from Stardock and improve and expand further.
