OK so, I did try to search for this in other posts first but my search-foo just wasn't good enough if they exist.
I have a small set of issues with GCIII ship designer that are really baffling in that they are really simple polish points I would have figured would have been fixed a long time ago.
1) A turn off auto save of my own ships option. In GCII you could do this. It is fine to save a blank ship but I don't want to save all of the ships with functional modules on them. The problem is that they will not match my technology and bonuses in the next game anyway. I don't want to have to be deleting them all the time, they shouldn't be saved in the first place.
2) A turn off auto/stock designs option. In GCII you could do this. Yes you can filter them, but that filter doesn't stay filtered and actually I don't want to see them period. Every time I research new tech I go and obsolete a bunch of designs. Because I don't want anything there but my own, they others are in the way.
3) Rotating parts. If you attach a part to serve as the base of a rotating section, you can't offset that part to center it or make any adjustments. This is because that part will wobble when you turn on rotation. If you click off the rotate on hard point option, all the axes change, and just to be more annoying the rotation I wanted usually isn't possible anymore. (Why? Twice!) Now fixing this so that the axes do not change when you click that button will break a bunch of ship designs unfortunately. Another option will need to be added to get around this behavior.
I don't normally like to make all negative posts normally, but this game has been out for a while now and I am very much used to Star Dock having points like this resolved much earlier in the process.
