The ability to say no to gifts.

Diplomacy, gift denial option.

Can we get the option to deny gifts faction "a" wants to give to the player.  For me this mainly concerns gifted techs.  For instance faction "a" decides i'm awesome and gits me  specialization tech "x".  However my interest is in specialization tech "y" but can no longer research it because faction "a" gave me tech "x" and blocked out techs "y" & "z".  Maybe you(Stardock) did this for use as a means of diplomatic influence on an opposing factions focus, I'm not sure.

TL;DR Allow me to say no to gifts please.

Yeah it was brought up back in beta that you should be able to refuse "gift techs", especially if they are a specialization tech.  I didn't even know this hadn't been fixed yet.  Very disappointing that such a horrible mechanic is still happening.

Its a minor issue to be honest. Granted it WILL lock out out of specializations it can be annoying. I find that if one gifts it to you can usually buy the one you want from another Civ.

 

I agree this is something that would be nice to have but its not game breaking.

Ditto. It's more of a minor annoyance than a game breaker.  It's an annoyance nevertheless.

I'd rather it just didn't lock out the ability to research the other techs. I'd even be willing to not be permitted to research the tech that comes afterwards, in the case of specializations.
