I'm Logged Into Steam, Getting "Must Be Logged Into Steam" error

So I'm trying to play OTC. Still haven't got it to successfully run. It's telling me I'm not logged into Steam, when in fact, I am. Here's my log:

Hi Paul436,

Have you tried the DirectX 9 version of the game? It looks like it is failing to initialize DirectX 11 so the issue may not be with Steam.

Can you give me the specs. on your machine so we can try and recreate the problem here.

Both the DirectX 9 and 11 versions throw the same error - It's a Windows 8.1 (32-bit) VirtualBox with 3D acceleration turned on, 2 CPU's, 2GB of memory, and 256MB of video memory. I tried a Windows 7 VirtualBox first but the game completely failed to even open a window, logs say it was DirectX 9 failing to initialize.

Before purchasing I neglected to notice your FAQ that says the game will never support Macs, and, well, I have no Windows PC's, so a virtual machine is my only option. Even if it's going to run like crap, I don't want to waste my $35 (which could have bought a decent bottle of scotch)

Yes, not helping. Restarted my Pc, Steam, tried running the game with dx9 and opengl nothing is helping. Still the same error messeage.

I, too, am logged into Steam but am getting "You must be logged into Steam".

I am trying to play on a MacBook Air. I have previously been able to play on a Windows desktop. I just installed Offworld, so the game is up to date.

The first time I launched Offworld, I was running Steam in offline mode, but now I am in online mode and still cannot play. I have tried both launching the game from within Steam and launching it from the launcher, with the same results.
