[bug] steal spirt

I started with 2 points in nature magic, used steal spirit on my first champion who had nature magic, but he died and I didn't get any extra magic! Could be because lvl5 was required for the 3rd point. When I got to level 5 it wasn't there too.

Not a bug. Steal spirit will only give you bonus levels of a trait up to what the stolen champ's level was. For example, if you have life 3, and steal a life 1 champ, you would get no new spells because you already have life 1.

if you are already at level 2, stealing level 1 doesn't have any effect. you'd need a champ with level 3 to steal the next level - at least that's my understanding of the mechanic

Ahh. Well, then... I guess I should remove my nature magic and take the 2 armor giving accessories for 1 sovereign army.

Maybe they could add a line to the code to stop this potentially griefing scenario. like, "your soverign already has that skill".

It's like in dungeon crawl stone soup they added lots of catches like that and it was a better game for it.
