As the title says, I have suggestions / requests for two small options for when setting up games;
First, I would enjoy a "One City Challenge" option, where the player is restricted to only being able to found a single settlement (outposts would still be okay). To help compensate to some degree, the map generator should be particularly generous with the initial city settling location options. I realize that players can implement this variant on their own, but I'd enjoy seeing an official option, plus I'd rather not have to go through the burden of manually razing every AI city if playing OCC.
Second, related to the above, it would be nice to have a setting to instantly raze any captured city. The AI seems to already be able to do this, so giving the player the ability would be fair. I also hate having to remember to burn cities after waiting five turns- I only raze cities when I don't feel like managing them anyway, so having to micromanage their destruction is aggravating.
