It seems like we don´t have the ability to queue unrelated research orders i.e. orders that are in separate sresearch trees or not in succession on the same one (Either it isn´t available, or noone knows of it: https://forums.elementalgame.com/436938 )

Therefore I suggest, that we should get this ability (for example by shift-clicking on research orders).

I don´t know about others, but I for my part prefer to plan multiple research orders in aadvance and usually it involves regularly switching from one research tree to the oither. Only being able to select one research order leads to lots of wasted time for me, which I need trying to remember which research order I had planned to select next

Not to forget that queuing research orders would only be natural, considering the fact that we´re able to queue production orders and also considering the fact that queueing research orders is rather the norm than the exception in civ like games.
