So you want my feedback. At least that's what you wrote in that mail when you told me that I now own Fallen Enchantress.
First of all, I have to say: Bold move! I still don't know if it's honesty or a pure economic calculation and a big marketing effort. Anyway: I own Fallen Enchantress and so far it seems to be a mahor step ahead, from what we had in Elemental.
Your artists really added alot of stuff, like background images, new props, new assets in the game... I think the lightning changed... however, I still have to stare at those really ugly character faces.
In a game about fantasy, mood, atmosphere and magic, where waterfalls, forrests, rainbows etc. make up the mood. Where fantastic creatues live in dense magical forrests... where rituals bring foth creatures from another sphere.... In a game, that portraits such a fictional phantastic setting, I really do NOT understand how you can go with such ugly characters and faces.
The moment I start making my character, I feel like disconnecting from the game emotionally. I continue for the sake of playing the game, but it just does not live up to the artistic demands this setting creates.
Here you go, this is my honest feedback.
Invest in the art, and the game will be a hit. Thats my opinion.
Best,
