The fraction trait "Binding" allows you to recruit elementals from your shards.
Air Shards gives you the Crow Demon with the abilities: Graceful, Immune to lightning, Immune to poison, titans breath, thunderstrike, dodge I, Immune to Counterattack and an air elemental spear. At level 2 it has: HP 16, Def 0, Att 11 and Mov 4. A well balanced until with useful spells, good attack and mobility.
Death Shards gives you the Cyndrum Demon with the abilities: Immune to poison, Vunerable to lightning and Undying Curse. At level 1 it has: HP 8, Def 0, Att 9 and Mov 3. Starts off weak so you have to look after it but gets stronger with each kill gaining an extra unit up to a max of 9. After 2 kills it starts to motor and I think is the strongest elemental.
Life Shards don't give you anything! Is this an ommission? You can take the binding fraction trait when making a custom fraction with Kingdom. If one is added then it probably should be some short of healing, de-cursing or blessing unit or may a holy avenger. Any suggestions?
Fire Shards gives you the Burning Wraith with the abilities: Large, Immune to poison, Immune to fire, Vulnerable to cold and Feed the Fire. At level 2 it has: HP 19, Def 0, Att 10, Mov 3. A reasonable attacking until that is best used in numbers to allow those Feed the Fire attack buffs to stack. Unfortuantely the expensive 10 mana costs limits it use in the early game. When be nice if this cost were removed. Crow demons spells don't have an associated cost.
Earth Shards gives you the Grave Elemental with the abilities: Large, Immune to Poison, Regeneration and Harbinger. At level 2 it has: HP 29, Def 6, Att 9, Mov 2. A good tank unit with good defence and HP, if at little slow. The 4 HP per a turn regeneration and 30 HP back for a kill makes this a tough unit worth having.
Water shard gives you the Mirror Elemental with the abilities: Immune to poison, Immune to cold, Vulnerable to fire, Damage Reflection. At level 2 it has: HP 12, Def 0, Att 7, Mov 2. This I think is the weakest unit. Its slow with low HP, Att and Def and has to take damge to benefit from its best ability, reflect 100% of damge taken. They can be used a sacrifical pawns but if you don't want to lose them then they can't stay long in combat before they have to retreat but are still vunerable to ranged units. I think they need a buff. Rather than buffing their stats (there is already a good tank) they could do with a spell. My suggesting is Mirror Image: creats a mirror image that can be sent into battle to die reflecting the damge they take without have to lose your parent elemental. Obvioulsy the mirror image shouldn't have this spell. Any other suggestions?
Upgrading your shards to shrines is a nice early buff as this will spawn a second elemental (good for getting your Burning Wraith groups up and running). Corrupting your shrine to give a death shard then rebuilding it will let you spawn some Cyndrum Demons too, a nice bonus (4 elementals from one shard).
