No.
There are legitimate times where modders have questions that require some insight into hard coded limits or info on things not directly accesible.
I don't expect an intern to have the answers but if aa significant question was posed by modders he or she might be in a position to ask Ironclad directly.
My reasoning is that I don't think the developers can possibly have time to catch all the posts, requests and discussions on the forums and occasionally there might be something they could assist with or provide.
For the companies it is nothing more than a PR action (which is fine).
I didn't say "they had a responsibility" and asking for a tool or interpretation of minidumps is exactly why I'd like to see something like this.
It would be great if a thread popped up and instead of just chain bumping it with a mantra some designated employee could say, "he boss, this is what's a hot topic right now--anything we might be able to do?".
There's no obligation for them to do it or to do it on a consistent basis--but just having some avenue at all would be a great plus. Frogboy started out with the idea of a developers log where he would share info like this regularly but I am sure as head honcho that was a bit impractical.
A liaison doesn't answer all the questions--he picks out significant ones and points them to someone who might be able to answer them and then gets the answer back to the interested parties.
Even a monthly post where some tidbit was posted would be great. Over time it would add a lot.
Note, I am not "demanding" or "Whining" or expecting this...it's a suggestion.
The knee jerk, "that's ridiculous" response on the forums to suggestions is counter productive. No harm in asking.
