[.952 BUG] Game turns no long advance after failed enemy attack

Hi

Sorry if this has been raised before, but I have no idea what to search for.

Anyway, in my game one of cities gets attacked by a small wandering monster army.  I defeat them with my militia and a small garrison of death elementals (or something similar). After winning i get a second message saying that the same city is being attacked again by a different wandering army from the same square.  This second attack never occurs, and I'm allowed to start my next turn as normal.  However, when i try to attack the second stack outside my city, nothing happens; and when i try to end my turn nothing happens, so the game is just seems to be stuck on my turn forever.

If it helps I managed to avoid the game getting stuck casting spells at the two armies on the strategic map (wither and some fire damage one); this forced the first army to retreat.  The second army attacked as normal; but the battle resolved normally, and the game could continue.
