We're using USPS International 1st Class for any destination outside the U.S. As for customs...I don't know. If you email sales@stardock.com, they should be able to tell you.

I'm not overly concerned about the actual customs fee (at most Canada border services will charge 13%, basically the destination's product sales tax) it was more the concern of brokerage fees that UPS, FedEX, etc are notorious for, these get compounded on top of the taxes and are normally in the range of an additional 50$.
I've shipped many things with USPS and brokerage isn't an issue with them. Happy to see people are going this route over the couriers.
