I'm glad you got that out of his question.

AFAIK they have never posted patch notes prior to a release so the only assumption I could make was he missed the original patch notes thread and didn't realize there was a Change Log sub-forum he could easily find them in.

you remember incorrectly zombie. In diplomacy, they would often post change logs, up to a week in advance.

I remember what I choose to remember.

Edit: And the quick search through diplomacy patch updates typically start with this line or variation similar too.

"Ironclad Games and Stardock Entertainment are happy to announce the release of version x.xx for Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity/Diplomacy today. "

Maybe they had a soft spot one time and pre-released some notes.

I'd be for them putting a journal up of balance changes they are considering, but calling it patch notes before it's released could be somewhat confusing.

Stuff that sounds like is happening IIRC.  I could be missing something, but I'm pretty sure we'll at least see these things..

  • Vasari titans combat buff
  • Nano Leech nerf
  • Strip-rush nerf
  • Orkulus Rex nerf
  • corvette nerf

Hopefully we'll also see some buffs to the AL and TL, but maybe that's just wishful thinking..

The Tec Loyalists really do need some buffing. Offense usually defeats defense, even with two starbases.

Advent Loyalists could use some more love and buffing, too.

You have any idea how effective tec would be against titans if Orogov's could do that?

As for tec loyalists, I agree that they are a bit lacking, granted I am an offensive minded player.

Here is the change log for v1.03...I'm sure Yarlen or someone will post it soon enough on the forums but you can currently view it via steam....

[Gameplay]

  • Titans no longer retain levels...now they start at level -x, where x is the number of times they've died
  • Corvettes now move at half the speed, have a fleet supply of 10, cost 4x as much, and do 1/3 the damage
  • Stripped to the core destroys all ships at the gravity well at which it is used

[TEC]

  • Ankylon HPs is now 3,000 with a 100,000 increase per level
  • Lazers on Kol do twice as much DPS

[Advent]

  • Chastic burst now only affects 1 target...also requires Eradica to face it's target
  • Repossession now affects all neighboring gravity wells
  • Wail of the sacrifice no longer overrides enduring devotion

[Vasari]

  • Nano leach now has a target cap of 10 and only affects SC
  • Starbase mobilization is now tier 20

I think DEVs adopted habit to release patches on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday so looking forward to it
