Is it possible to get an AI to send you envoys? In the last expansion they sent them all the time but now I can't get any at my planets, even if I send a mission and have high relations
Yes, there is a mission type called "Send Envoy" which you can offer to any player in the game. After selecting the player you want to improve your relations with, just keep clicking the mission type button until you see the Send Envoy Mission.
read the post, I sent the mission, nothing happened. I did this quite a few times
I've done give resource missions, which they'll complete 1 or 2 of in a short amount of time, rejecting any past that. Attack ones they'll leave to chance for their normal movements to fulfill, but they never respond to an envoy request
I also think it depends on the "nature" of the AI. Some just end up sending Envoys to you on their own volition.
