Is it me or does the TEC titan have way higher damage than it did before?? I looked at its damage output following the 0.75 patch and it adds up to more than DOUBLE that of the loyalist titan (even though its hull, armour and shields are lower).I have yet to compare these ships in a 1v1 fight but it appears that the rebel titan has a decent chance of winning now, as opposed to getting locked into a stalemate and being forced to retreat as enemy reinforcements arrive. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good thing. in v 0.60 there was too much ankyon spamming because it was so quick to build and so difficult to destroy in the early game.
I'm a bit troubled by what has been done with mercenary pirates in this patch. They've been seriously nerfed to the point where I would probably never bother allying with the pirates. The rebel TEC can now call on merecenary aid from any broadcast center at a very high cost. I do like how the player can control where the pirates arrive in this patch though. It was near impossible to effectively mobilise your pirate forces into a single fleet before.. Now its just eceonomically unjustifiable
.Please look into this Stardock. It isn't worth doing the mercenary research now, especially since my titan cant level up from pirate hunting once I have allied with them.
Also, in case you didn't know the advent faction was unlocked in the last patch. I prefer TEC, but a bit of variety never hurt anyone.
I'm most looking forward to destroying every planet I find with the vasari loyalists though. No, i'm not evil at all! Just misunderstood..
