Okay, so I've been reading all the comments people have made about the initial titan strength, been playtesting more, etc. Nothing is set in stone, but we will be adjusting the titan balance in the future (probably update after next). Even then, expect us to continue tweaking things right up until ship and afterwards.
I would recommend making titans really strong as they level up(including their abilities), in this way opponents can choose to XP starve them or lure them into a grav well while they still have low HP so its possible to more effectively snipe them if a player isnt too careful. Scale back that ankylon's self healing for the lower levels and increase its effectiveness as it levels to where it currently is at max level. Also, the TEC Rebel titan needs a few more HP at max level to give it a chance to prevent easy endgame sniping, have it gain a lot of HP in the last few levels.
Every titan level up should be a game changer, imo. Makes for exciting titan leveling, and perhaps your enemy may retreat knowing things are turning against him!
Also, increasing the XP required to reach level 2 for all titans to limit make it harder to get titans levelled early on.
In this way you make it so if the enemy fights you and takes losses, you are actually starting to win because your titan is getting leveled while his is not(this already exists as is in rebellion, i'm asking to make this a more viable strategy). When you actually get the level up you will have gained a larger advantage over your adversary forcing him to retreat or regroup to a new location.
In this way the battlefield changes based upon player controlled events, making the game more exciting while at the same time not becoming too "twitchy".
