Hello forum and Stardock,
I just want to report on the performance of Sins rebellion on a Dell Inspiron 6400 purchased in 2007. Basic specs are as follows:
T5300 @1.73GHz, 2GB RAM, X1400 ATI mobility (256MB dedicated).
Not a beast by any means but it plays supcom 2 and LoL and sins trinity quite well.
So with the mention of improved graphics I was worried that it would not work on my laptop. I have a newer desktop but the video card has been sent away for warranty issues. This gave me a great chance to test performance on my ancient laptop.
FPS rarely dipped below 20 with all graphic settings low but all effects ON. AA was off as well as anisotropic filtering. Shadows were also off, all this at a resolution of 1280x800.
I played on a small 11 planet map and the game only lasted 1.5 hours so there weren't any huge battles with one hundred ships on the screen. I will hopefully get to test this tonight or tomorrow. But as it stands, I was very surprised at the performance of this game on my laptop.
I just figured I'd let you know that your scalability is working fine from where I'm sitting.
