I was playing with Ceresa and Miruca. Ceresa was stationed next to my town's teritorial border, while Miruca was stationed 3 tiles farther.
With Miruca selected, I open the spellbook, choose "Inspiration" and then click on my town to boost the research. Instead of Miruca casting the spell, it's Ceresa who casts it. This doesn't seem quite normal.
