Anyone else noticing game stats recording instabilities? Nearly all matches with at least one quitter have something like this:

First one had 4 players, not 2 and I was the host so it should have been fine, but one player left just before the very end and that's the result. Second had 6 players with 4 quitters (me and yellow_belly included ), but not cieniumr. However stats are weird again. I also noticed that many games are like that and this happens very often...

Sorry nnnils, I did the unthinkable and uninstalled.  I tried to stick with it for you but I needed the space because my itunes library is on my C: Drive too and that 3 gigabytes is worth like 10 ipad games.   Also coming back always felt weird now that my fingers are used to QWER for the skills

I read you guys are gathering together in LoL, too bad i can't join you since high latency in LoL is much less tolerable than in Demigod (never thought i'd say something like this [e digicons]'[/e] ) . I've read darkliath plays with you in the US servers, goes to say how skilled she really is

 

RoI is Rise of Inmortals Orion? How good is it? I heard bad things bout it. Does it still have retarded "features" like last-hitting? Maybe i should try it....

 Rise of Immortals, play this instead of LoL

1) Has persistent character experience levels, allowing you to customize your immortal (auto-matching evens char level out, so there are some fantastic battles when you have high and low level chars who know the game)
2) Has persistent artifacts allowing further customization (more artifacts and bigger artifacts as you gain persistent levels)
3) Community is just starting out, you might nee to wait 10-15 minutes to get a 5on5 going, but the community is not nearly as caustic as LoL
4) Petroglyph maintains a presence in game, with admins in the social hub, and employees playing daily.
5) Petroglyph mostly listens to people who can make a good cases for balance concerns (since they actually play the game, they can see them 1sthand)

So is RoI any better than LoL?I've played a decent amount of games of LoL now and the funny thing is that even with the abundance of playable characters and usable items I find the game play less dynamic than dg. All games seem to descend into team gank scenarios after around 10 mins. The lack of flag capture is a big one for me and I guess this will be fixed with Dominion.

 

Zen or someone else can you post your thoughts on it after a handful of games of RoI?

Yeah - I think dominion will make it a bit more interesting.  I never really liked the gameplay model.  This should change things.

Re: RoI - I did try it and its not my cup of tea.  Sadly, the bottom line for me is getting games in quickly.  After being patient with dg for so long, having games that kick off in less than 2 min all the time is highly desirable.  If its really taking 10-15 min to get a 5v5 going in a NEW GAME... well, that's actually my entire review of the game at this point.  That said, if you are patient, I'm pretty sure you can have some fun with it.  I'd just personally rather minimize my time waiting for a game to being.

QFT. And it sucks balls, together with last-hitting and the retarded zoom level. That's why i mostly only play unranked 3v3 games, makes split-pushing much less dangerous, but it's still just a game of "let's see who gets split from his team first". Soooo retarded. And i wouldn't hold my breath for Dominion, it will only make champions balance an even bigger mess than it currently is.

Here's hoping we don't have to wait too many years for a proper "demigod spiritual succesor"/sequel.

RoI degrades into "pack" mentality too once you can't kill someone in a 2on2 (around level 7-8 of 20) and have to start floating for ganks (just naturally happens that you don't stray far or you die), so if that bugs you about LoL, you might not like RoI either.

eg: Push with a pack, then farm out with calculated risks to get more gold/XP then the other team. Try and team gank the enemy as they do this to.

It also has last hit on creeps for gold bounty. I hate that mechanic too.

Meh, i guess i'll pass on RoI, then. Thanks for the info though, LO. For now i'll keep casually playing LoL, if only cos i can get a game going in under 1-2 minutes.

As i said, let's hope someone picks up the good ideas from DG and makes an at least decent "DG inspired" game, all these other DOTA clones seem to go backwards further with each new one that pops up.

the thing that bothers me about RoI is that the heroes are mostly just human/humanoid. 

 

I don't play vidyagames to be just a human (or a human freak, see Erebus and most of the RoI lineup). I'm okay with "Rangers" (eg, human + animal companion, see Sedna) but just humans are meh to me.
