Well, frankly, this belongs in the off topic forum, but as I'm still a huge fan of DG ( don't think SD will mind me posting an off topic post in their forums) and I think the SD forums will be my home online for a bit, I'm thinking of branching out a bit more and hopefully bringing a few of you with me.  Mayhaps if some folks are interested in this topic enough, I might see if SD would be willing to create a new forum category to give us some official space for this.

I am an avid comic book/graphic novel (you know, the thing that makes comic books sound mature) fan.  I've been a fan of comics since about 1985.  I'd consider writing up some articles and stories about such things if folks are interested.

I used to collect single issues of comics from a local comic shop and now just collect trades and 1 shot graphic novels.  I'm very well read and if there's a good comic out there... well there are pretty good odds I've read it.  So, if you are a fan of comics, let me know and I'll start up some articles.  If you are just interested in comics, do the same.  And if you could give a rip, hey - same as well.  Just trying to gauge interest.  I honestly think I could talk for a very long time about what I've read and provide a bit of interesting commentary.  Even more so than dg if you can believe that crap.

Anyway, what I'm currently reading - anything on the grant morrison run of batman (think I'm caught up now).  Ex-machina - I have thru book 5 of the deluxe trades.  And last, but not least, I dropped $75 for the simonson run of thor.  Frankly, I didn't like thor a lot before the movie (you need to see that btw).  After that... well, I dropped 75 bucks on it.  Odds are I was impressed. 

So - what I'm most interested in right now is ex-machina.  If you are interested, let me know and we can get this puppy rolling with reviews of books and discussion,etc.  Could be oprah's book club - oprah + pacov.
