This seemed kinda like a "general" question.
So here goes, if all PCs are on the same LAN, have the same version and have the same mod active, can a mod be played via multiplayer?
Short answer: yes.
Just make sure that the checksums for the mod match up before you start and, as a rule of thumb, don't play above high graphics settings. Some mods will bump Sins above the 2GB "hardcoded" memory limit which will result in an immediate minidump.
As long as everyone has the exact same mod and version of the mod installed on the same version of Sins, it can be done without a problem. People play mods all the time on Ironclad Online.
The key is checksum. It is found in the mod area in the upper right hand area.
One caveat....if you are using multiple mods, they need to show up in the same order...for example, if you were using mod A and mod B, all players need mod A to list first, and then mod B to list second (or all players do the exact opposite)...
Nah, nuthin so complex. I downloaded Sacrifice of Angels...copied it to the other machines so they could install as well.
