As far as I know my pretender was still alive as of the last turn I played. However, that turn being, what, two or three weeks ago, it's possible I missed something.
I received exactly two in-game messagess this turn, one saying the previous turn staled, which I assume every player got, and a second message saying one of my provinces was ravaged by demonic swine or something.
Whether he died legitimately or not, I respectfully would like to resign this game and let the AI take over, if everyone is OK with that. I have been pounded by four different armies in an alliance against me (five, if you count TopHat's sneak attack, though I don't think he was part of the alliance) and I am simply not in a position any more where I can hope to survive.
Setting aside my pathetic strategic position, I have to admit that I have become quite frustrated with Llamaserver. While I am happy that there exists a free service like this that allows us to play MP Dom3, and regret having to complain at all about something I am not paying for, I think the downtime is becoming quite ridiculous and is making this game more of a chore than it should be. It stalled again this morning, briefly, by the way. I am not sure why Shrapnel doesn't provide an official, more robust, way of playing multiplayer games. You would think a company that charges $55.00 for a game that is over five years old now would have set aside some of their funds to provide something like this for their customers.
Ah well, I'm not as bitter as I may seem. It has been a pleasure playing with all of you and perhaps we will play again some time.
