Hi folks!
I know we still have some newer folks joining the community and I also know that plenty of you old fellas still haven't configured your settings in Demigod and your router. Guess what? Failing to do so, in many cases, can lead to game crashes and additional instability when playing games online.
Here's my brief story. I bought Demigod shortly after launch knowing it had more than a few issues with networking. I came across a thread that explained various ways to fix those problems. And that thread included a guide created by a player called themonk. That guide covered just about everything you needed to do to get stable connections going in Demigod. So, back then, I set things up as described. Things worked great. Flash forward a few months - my router dies. So, I replace it with the same model, same firmware - everything. But I forgot to configure my router based on monks guide. I'm getting random crashes to the desktop, losing connectivity in game at times. It got to the point where I was about at a 90% crash rate. I remember, setup your router. So, I find monk's guide again and configure as directed. Boom. I'm back in business with very few crashes.
Another thought? Do any of you ever crash in single player? I never have had. Soooo... must have something to do with MP code or configurations, right? Anyway, if you follow the monks guide, IN DETAIL, I'd wager your gaming experience would be all the better and you might find Demigod a little less frustrating. And I know, it does suck a bit to have to configure your router, forward ports, etc to get a good game going. I'd recommend that you give this a shot, though, even if you only have issues sometimes.

Hope this helps any of you out that haven't tried a more advanced configuration!
