Quoting awuffleablehedgie,
no you weren't there. Magnus refused to purchase monks at the start and told me to split them over 4v4 Levi. I aptly refused because 4v4 Levi is not 3v3 Cata and it takes monks about an hour to walk to the other side of the map and if you split monks with 2 people in a lane you lose the 40 dps the monk gives you and also half the healing making it that much harder to survive.
Magnus then proceeded to get juked into going insane by a late-blood from Jaws and both him and cow proceeded to die. Magnus then blamed both their reckless deaths on me not splitting my monks.
Later on Cow was pursuing an Erebus with 200 hp and Ninki didn't snipe.
First, from the time you hit the base of the circle on Leviathan and have to choose to go left or right it takes LESS time for monks to walk from there to either sides tower than it does from the citadel on Cataract to either side because of pathing issues. Within 2 seconds of the game starting I said "no monk" so you would know what to do.
Second, you don't lose half the healing unless you are counting the healing of creeps. One monk can heal 2 dg's with very near 100% efficiency.
Third, any good group of players that had 2 generals on their team would inherently understand that only one of them should buy monks while the other buys clerics ASAP. This gives both lanes almost the exact same healing at the start while one side has an extra armor+hat for regen and can push harder. A couple minutes into the game when the clerics are split both sides now have double the healing from split monk/cleric, who do not share the same cooldown healing dgs, on both sides and also the early advantage from early regen.
Fourth, if there was ANYONE who I thought would understand game mechanics it would be you.
Fifth, of all dg's you were sedna who has the least cause to horde monks, not that anyone else has one to begin with.
Sixth, you were generally a jerk. When I asked for the monk and said that I would be getting clerics ASAP your exact quoted response was "no". When I asked why, you said "I don't want to send my monk behind a tower". Like, what does that even mean? It would have taken less effort to click the monk and click behind the other tower than it would have to hit enter, hit N, hit O and hit enter again.
Seventh, there are maybe a couple dozen people who I think are very good at this game. 8 of those people were in that game. If this sort of thing can happen in a game of that caliber, then the odds of it happening again and again are high with such a small community. "I really need to find a game that is less of a joke" is what I was thinking while running around dying for admittedly stupid reasons.
