can't get my race to show up for sins entrentchment

I am currently trying to create a new race in soase entrentchment v 2.50, this is what I have done so far

1. added a new player in the string file using the name ABSON

2.added a player entity file that is mostly a copy of Vasari with some changes and has 3 as it's priority number (heard that it was something you had to do)

3.Added a new capital ship, a new squad type, and two new abilities

when i activate the mod about 50% of strings are replaced with "string not found" but the rest are fine and my race does not show up

I am using current reference data and am almost certain that it is not causing any problems

Is there anything I am missing to create a new race? Help would be grately apreciated

Did you add all of your new files to the entity.manifest file? Harpo has a nice tool that will generate one for you. As for the Strings, make sure you change the count at the top of the string file to match the new strings that you added.

If it's not the entity.manifest then I don't see any reference to GalaxyScenarioDef.galaxyScenerioDef file in your list. Did you add your new race to this as well?

I do have a manifest set up, but have done nothing with GalaxyScenarioDef so thats likely the problem, thanks for the help!
