the AVATAR mod (AKA SMURF MOD) ( like the movie avatar ) but a MOD

we can call it the SMURF MOD!!!! so we dont get in trouble, we are not really copying them.

ok lol haha i know we have enough smurfs in multiplayer already but this will be rlly kewl i swer k? kk.

how about an avatar mod where we have the three factions, ( jarheads ) ( rlly strong )

(nature and its creatures )& ( the smurfs )

so the jars vs nature+smurfs since nature and the smurfs are weak they are allyed.

or one of them must be ai or something or they can be combined and make it a jarhead vs pandorasmurfs 1v1

ok so, let me start with, instead of SPACE in the backround of all the planets, make it all a non-laggy junglish backround,

and make the jarheads have those weird halo3 hornets and such for ships ( i know it can't be perfect )

and make the ships for the smurfs those flyer things. and horses and archers etc.

also, make the smurf planets look like big trees and hammocks ( srry for misspell of hammok lol )

and make the smurf home planet the BIG home tree.

and make all the jarhead planets bases and such. u know lol.

i dont know if this is possible but maybe reduce the amount of units we can have and make them much bigger so that they look more realistic.

also, make them be able to talk when they * tree jump * like LIAKAKAKAKAKAA lol

i know i did not mention alot of stuff but you can really picture the rest, i did not bother to mention the tech tree because thats so easy to just imagine, better bows, better guns... u know lol.

*sigh*. I gather you want an Avatar RTS game. If you want one, you have several options open to yourself.

1. make it yourself.

2. pick a different game to get a modding team for.

Seriously, Sins just isn't the kind of game that you can use to make an RTS that's a planet. The entire way Sins works is COMPLETELY at odds with what you want to do. It just won't work, and I doubt that many people would want to see an Avatar mod for Sins.

unless u do like a sequal to the movie were the pandorians have grown organic space ship to fight the earth ppl that have returned in greater numbers. idk but its a start if u want it in sins

One odd way to get around it would be to do the following:

Make a skybox that emulates a world (the sky would be "up" and green land would be "down" although you could keep the starry sky for night maps.
Decide that all the bases are in the floating mountain area (I forget what it's called)
Redo every ship and tech
Make your mod compatible with the DM mod (if you can get the makers permission)
give up on having *any* ground units

That said, I think you'd be much better off modding some other game or simply holding out for a true Avatar RTS. It's recently become the biggest selling movie of all time, so I would imagine some studio has one in the making.

Star Wars: Empire at war would be a great game for it or Universe at War and there are a few other ground RTS's that would work.

@Lex- except for the fact that AFAIK the Na'vi wouldn't want to retaliate, and therefore would no use for growing said spacecraft.

And there's the everpresent problem that organic spaceships are going to always be inferior to the technologically based ones. It's a simple truth.

An animal, even one engineered to survive and fight in space, simply will not have the ability to target and engage an enemy that is further away than it can see in (relative) realtime.

Which means my metal/plastic/technological spaceship will pwn your organic ship because I can see and shoot further than you can. In space, engagement range goes for a LOT. Tech-based ships can also easily have far superior (re: can get me where I want MUCH faster) propulsion systems; not only can I now fire upon you from further than you can even see, I can easily outrun you if necessary.
