My point isn't that Fireball is as powerful as spit or that TB doesn't need buffs. My point was that there's numerical consistency between many of the skills in this game, which I was trying to point out with my frist post when I said that most DGs have a primary attack on a 7 second cooldown and a second on a 15 second'ish cooldown, so spines should be compared to Fire Nova since they're both secondary attacks. The consistent DPS numbers between even Spit and Fireball just show, to me, that the devs had that numerical consistency in mind when they laid out the abilities, regardless of how fair the game ended up being.
True. Sorry for straying off topic. You are right they tried to keep a numerical consistency and spine doesn't compare to fireball. Each abilities does have a numerical consistency it's the side things that happen and the nature of the abilities that makes the differance.
You do realize you just compared spit+ooze to just fireball right? As for the psychological effect, the better players I have gone against all accounted for the DoT nature of spit.
You want to compare TB's equivilent ability to spit? Lets throw in fire nova. All creeps die... done. Same with UB so it's still even. Plus it's still less damage per second. Plus ooze and fire nova don't really even compare it's more ooze and tb's switch that compare. Which means... 75 extra AA damage. Which gets taken down to 40 or so with ooze's nature. Or lets freeze UB for 3 seconds or increase the cooldown of the already ticking spit to 20 seconds. Or...
You want me to keep going?
