How bulletproof is Demigod?

I'm planning to buy Demigod. This will depend on the modding support partially, the concern here however is, how secure is Demigod for/against 'trainers' or other tools to exchange game values while Demigod is running/loaded into the Windows memory? Will patch 1.2 (finally) care about this? Or are there generally any reliable concepts to treat such engagements in advance or afterwards?

I'm sorry to ask this but i have to do, because in regard to several threads here cheating or 'desyncing' seems to happen (frequently) and even if the amount if cheaters is <10%, such people ruin the game experience of course - and as you may understand, i don't really want to buy a passage on a Titanic.

However no one knows, you'll need to wait for 1.2 or a response from Stardock.

I believe this si getting fixed. Its iritating yes, but not game breaking, who cares abotu stats anyway?

most player do. never joind a lobby and then wathing calls for balance, noobs etc. because of the stats shown? MOST people here are caring about stats, one way or the other.

You don't have to worry about cheating that much. There was one issue where someone would get a million gold or so, because of a bug in the game, but that's fixed now. Generally, if someone tries to alter the gamestate in his favor, the game will just desync. Of course some people are exploiting this behavior to avoid losses...

I would honestly not recommend Demigod to anyone I actually cared about. The amount of work you have to go through just to get a good game is pretty annoying, and I'm finding less and less players online.

Well, the game is sold meanwhile for a reasonal price, also there is a demo version so you know what you get, and maybe you even can profit from a sales promotion once more.
So hopefully patch 1.2 brings some new life into it - while excluding cheaters and exploiters who think they need some extraordinary fun with me.

KG, I think you can pick up Demigod on Impulse for $14,99 this weekend. I think it's worth it even if you only play singleplayer.

I think everybody knows. The people leaving during disconnection, the desync (which doesn't occur too often, but often enough), the waiting in a lobby, the dealing with players who are overly obsessed with stats. For $40, there are games that are worth more of your time. $15 is definitely more reasonable, but I still wouldn't recommend it. I would say, go play LoL, HN, DotA, and the like and if you don't like those, try the demo of Demigod.
