You need to chill. GPG isnt blizzard, they dont have unlimited ressources. Alot of people obviously don't understand how a business works.
They have not unlimited resources but they also do not use them wisely. When you look at the patches for Demigod you will see that there have been some very annoying bugs that could be easily fixed but were not for a long time. This is simply stupid from GPG as it damages the reputation.
Actually there is a solution if a company has not the money for extensive support. This is called modding. Though GPG also made this impossible although this could helped very much. I have seen this in Civilization IV. There Firaxis allowed modding with scripts like in Demigod and finally even shared the source code (!) of the game so every aspect of the game could be changed. So the community created much material like mods, enhancements of the main game and bug fixes. Firaxis then took the best of that and integrated it into the official version of the game. So they got much valuable material for free that could be added to that what their coders did.
If you look here at the forum you will see that here also some users are floating around that could do such stuff also for Demigod. For example the threads of mrappard show that also the Demigod community has some skilled modders around. When GPG would have opend the modding earlier we probably would have additional Demigods and maps since months from the community.
GPG simply lacks the cleverness other companies including Blizzard has. IMO Stardock is here much cleverer as they put more focus on support. Though it is here very common to bash Stardock for everything they are not that one responsible for the mess. That is GPG. In contrary Stardock does much more than I would have expected from a publisher. If this game would have published from EA for example Demigod would be dead since months as there would not have been any support.
