for every ranged attack the procc chances are reduced for procs on hit. this can be seen in the lua scripts. this has been explained here in the forums several times. for the poisoned dagger the chance for the proc is reduced to 13% for regulus, torch bearer and QoT as they all three hit with ranged attacks. i don't know if it rpocs from the rooks shoulder attacks.

edit: it does not matter if regulus is in flight mode or not (meaning angelic furry), as he allways is shooting it is allways only a proc chance of 13%.

morph, i didn't ment to take both at the same time. you can go either way, although taking ankhlet is the better and safer way.

spit won't help you. if the reg gos on furry + maim + mines, taking favoring hp equip (armor is useless) he will easaly outdmg your spit. of course this starts to work after level 4. before that the regulus won't have the equip and skills needed.

you can chase the reg so far you want, you want get him fast enough if he does it right. just turning back as soon as you try to catch him, imediatly attack again as soon as you turn back... quite boring i find, but it works.

later on, together with mines you are screwed faster than you can say "gotcha" if he keeps up this tactic

edit: just as a side note: of course if you build your ub purly to destroy reg you can do that. you need to take the ankhlat as favor, boots from the start on, and early some mana items. but who will do that as it sucks for the rest? only in a one on one yuo would chose that knowing what the regulus plans.

Proc is an abbreviation that refers to a chance on hit effect. so it means the triggering of the slow effect.

second, there are other items with a chance on hit in the game. and they have reduced triggering rate for QoT. i didn't reduced it to only the poison dagger!

only because you won against regs up till now does not mean they cannot beat you. most regs are so dumb to wait for you coming in melee range. if you want we can do a 1vs1, starting at level 5? or level 1 and paly it. the focus is on they 1on1 fights as i wont be able to hold flags against you. but just for edmonstration purpose, sure.

edit: what do you mean with first 15min? at the beginning i won't keep fighting till death because it needs some time to get the skills and equip to do what i said.

morph, i never said qot can get dagger! i put her in the list of ranged demigods for the explenation of redeuced proc-rate for ranged attacks.

i don't of late game. but i need at least one moint in maim, furry and scope before i can start doing the tactic i talked about. one or two hp items are also needed against your spitting. in a real 1on1 situation this wont work because as reg i would get less money and war rank than you, not controlling the flags.

hence i mentioned probably starting with level 5 and a bit more money. but maybe it works out even on normal conditions. aynway... we can test it.

EDIT: wait you mean wiing the match? no, this would be hard playing as reg vs ub. i am not used to doing 1on1. i though you talk about winning a fight, not the whole match. an one on one match is bad for reg as he cannot defend the flags for some time and will be behind ub in money and war rank. but this was not the situation that was talked before. we talked about a 3vs3 game were reg meets ub in 1on1, if reg can beat there ub. and with slow, mines and wings of course he can easaly kill the ub... given some time

In my opinion, a strong minion build is almost a hard counter to reg, moral would just be overkill.

As long as you use some minimal micro so you minons are surrounding reg his aoe abitys are not good enough to kill them before taking a large ammount of damage. Without large ammounts of health stacking and priest regen, minion dps will will be able to force reg back to the towers fairly quickly and keep him under the towers allowing you to have the flag.

Reg appears to have no effective counters to this resaulting in him being forced to stay behind towers.

well, as we are talking only about two minion demigods: oak and erebus, regs mines are only a coutner to one of them, because spirits don't activate the mines

That's because shamblers are slow and dumb.

Yes but but minions are cheeper and faster to replace than it is to cast mines and your minion micro has to be pretty poor to get them all hit by mines. you can only cast every 10 secs or so and damage is non lethal vs decently buffed minions.

you will only kill the leading minions at best and once they are encircling reg you can only hit about a third of them at once even less if the other player micros minions away from the mine throw.

I am theroy crafting but space your samblers out and mines will only be able to deal full damage to one of them, yes this is slighly more than minimal micro but still not that hard.

If you really want to screw reg over just spend 350g on the monitor idol and charge in with those first to blow up the mines.

Reg cannot deal enough damage to theaten enermy general without mines due to monk regen and will almost alway have to fall back behind the nearest tower.

Unless you fed with snipe at the start reg is probaly the worst demigod vs all the generals, though is rather compeditive vs non general builds. As long as you are not playing too aggesive and over extend reg is pretty easy to force back.

My least favourite assasin by far is reg...
