I'm a little worried about Frogboy's mention of new favor items:

"High End Favor Items. We’re discussing new high end favor items. They won’t be in this week but the idea is to have things beyond “blood of the fallen” and such that are simply better but cost more."

I really would prefer having weak favor items get buffed or strong ones get nerfed than getting new strong favor items that make all of the current ones obsolete.

I thnk we'll see SOME folks come back for this, but see quite a few rejoin once the new dg's are out.

ALSO, Cost of favor items is a rediculous restriction method IMO.
They should either;
- cost all the same
- cost nothing

All favor items should be equal in strength. (which will require a lot of testing. these forums would be the first for ppl to express their opinion on each items effectiveness).
eg. bejewelled goggles: +12 vision, +4 attack radius Use: Fog of war disappears for 3 seconds for all allies.

and as for the new AI, why not just increase their intelligence instead of giving them stat boosts? U can increase their stats all u want but that doesnt make them play smarter. Theyll still be stupid and easy to beat but it would just take a that lil longer to kill them. They're dead weight either way.

Agreed.  But also keep in mind that Brad did indicate there are also some additional AI improvements, but he didn't have the specifics available... he also indicated that they probably wouldn't make it into 1.2, but we'll wait and see. 

I'm really glad to see that QoT will likely get a buff. 

i dont really think BotF is exactally OP or broken the other favor items need more appeal to them is all and some buffs i dont think itd be the best idea to go okay this one is fine but the others are too weak so lets make the working favor items weaker so they are all equally weak instead of buffing them, but what do i know its late and night where im at, and i have alot of medicine in my system and not all their right now lol

Sounds good. I regret I do not see a control to eliminate A.I. cheating, however.

I too have Dragon Age Origins. Barely cracked it open (I believe I did the introductory scenario for my sorceror guy). Many many games, but work is fairly thick and time is short. Frown.

Re.: Items, new favour Items that give a point to long-term Campaign play make sense to me and I welcome their introduction. Player character progress should be by the campaign (reset in new campaigns, for those campaigns), and as usual I counsel the adoption of arrays of items for play, vast and randomized in selection.

No.  1.2 Must go live before ANYONE can get the new demigods.   Based on what he said, there is a slim to 0% chance that anyone but frogboy will be playing the new Dgs when 1.2 goes live though.  Frogboy will use ready to play to invite people to play games with him and the new dgs.  He'll play the new dgs.  Some time after that, they will start adding the new dgs to people's accounts and those people will provide some feedback for balancing, etc.  Then everyone will get the new dgs. 

To go further, I believe that the new dgs could technically be released with 1.2, but they want to test out their DLC and make sure its working appropriately.  I might be wrong, but it logically follows anyway.  But I also think Brad is taunting us by letting us watch him play w/ the dgs that we covet and not letting us play initially 

I don't want a community made balance mod. Demigod doesn't need it. Modding focus should be content, not balancing.

It's true... but what about things we generally agree on?  With modding support, QoT would have already received some sort of buff via a mod.  Erb might not be quite as tough and so on.  I'm pretty sure the majority of vocal players that use the forums will agree on a few points.  Your argument holds quite a bit more water once we start talking about small changes.  I'd glady install a mod with a few generally accepted changes... much easier than SUPER MOD with hundreds of small changes that I don't completely understand.
