now i'm curious who decided not to use gpgnet. frogboy said shadow should get his facts straight, but never said who made the decision
From what I have read here and on the gpg board, frog says that gpg decided to retire gpgnet before it started this program and they (gpg) never had any intention of using it on this project. What their plans were before hooking up with stardock are unknown.

Same here, looks like both probably.
Although it is important to note he is banned from the boards (possibly only for a short time), he is more than able to play the game. When he (shadow) isn't really contributing on the board (mostly snarky comments meant to antagonize/point out short comings), I am not sure it is a huge loss.
