Swift Anklet does nothing for my minions as a general class Demigod. I use the Horn of Battle for fast pushing. As for speed itself, I just need to learn to run away earlier (and leave my minions to push with Horn of Battle turned on) and when I don't think I'm running fast enough, I just buy boots of speed and journeyman threads.

Amulet of Teleportation is good for two reasons, first is what was already mentioned: it saves gold. However, it means teleportation is also now a permanently available ability. You don't have to worry about needing to top up your scrolls, and it saves you one consumable slot.

Ive been running anklet with much success as well. Im 23-2 and the only time I don't use it is if Im using a demigod that can naturally get a 15% move bonus through a talent tree. Sedna, UB.

I see the value in teleportation and I use it on those characters but still.  Swift anklet. 

I think that people also underestimate how much time you save when running around capping flags.  I tend to be more ADD and like running between flags instead of sitting in a single lane, and Anklets just save me a lot of time when you add it up over a 30 minute game.  On some maps Amulet of Tele might save me more though.

Really it comes down to personal preference for most builds.  I think that you would be hard pressed to show that any other favor item is substantially better than Anklets for most builds, but there are a lot of items that might be more effective in the hands of a specific player with a specific build.  Some people are just going to be more inclined towards say Cloak of Night and what that can do vs Anklets and vice versa.

Stacking pure speed at the expense of other stats is obviously a bad thing to do.

But theres an important point to stacking speed. An enemy DG does no DPS to you if he cant catch you, and you do no DPS to him if you can't catch him.

This generally holds up, be it running from a melee character, or chasing one of the ranged ones down. You don't need to stack obscene amounts, but if you get just enough speed so that you're 5% faster than the enemy, you're in a good position.

Well yes, if you always play as a premade team (as you seem to do, with 66 wins and only 9 losses) then I suppose there will be less of a need to run away.

When I'm teleganked and then slow stacked I often just die.  Usually I prefer to start running when I see the swirls... Which interestingly don't go away when you cancel the teleport (mind game I don't use often enough, probably).

As if not getting 3v1ed has anything to do with being a premade. You don't need an Anklet, or BotF, or a premade team to avoid getting 3v1ed. All it takes is not being stupid or careless. 

I do not hide the fact that I play in a premade. I mean, look at my avatar for petes sake. As has been said in like 4 different threads now, the fact I play in a premade helps validate my opinions, not the other way around. 

Mostly true, but sometimes you can't help getting ganked. Or you're doing good 1v1 and suddenly regulus snipes you from far away and the tide of the battle is turned, and you die before you can compensate. Despite the fact that this is not DoTA, people can still ambush you, especially when you're pushing.

Or sometimes you really need to get that kill but it means you have to die in the process because the guy's teammates are converging towards you to finish you off. That won't happen if a teammate comes to your aid and throws a heal or a bramble shield or an oak shield at the last second, denying the enemy the kill. Premades to this a lot.

On the contrary. The fact that you play in a premade means your individual skill matters a lot less, because you are always walking around with teammates ganking pubbies, or they are coming to your aid and saving your ass when you do something stupid. Premade doesn't mean you're good, and it certainly doesn't mean your opinions carry more weight. It just means you win more games.

If your 75 games played were all played against other premades, then I would concede that you're good. But, let's be honest: what are the chances of that? Zero. Like most premades out there, you are mostly winning against pubbies and then stroking your ego with every crushing win, then coming to the forums talking authoritatively on every subject.

I personally think Poison Dagger is one of the few things that makes Regulus a scary force in pre-mades, being slowed to a snails pace means his team-mates are likely going to show up and sodomize you. It also makes group vs group encounters much more dangerous because you probably wont be able to escape/back off if it procs.

Edit : Also @ Enraged Camel, playing with a pre-made obviously means something when comparing you and Facet, his posts generally show a view of the game obviously from someone who knows how the game, and it's mechanics/strategies work. Whereas I have read several of yours today that prove how uninformed you are about a lot if not most of the games aspects.

I would rather not have this thread degenerate into personal attacks, but you should of course feel free to point out the issues on which I am wrong in their corresponding threads.

The ability to be able to function (or at least try to) with terrible teammates is just about the only "individual skill" that is exclsive to playing on pug teams, and is completely useless at higher levels. In every game there are times when I am 1v1, 1v2, 2v1, 2v2, etc, and in all of those cases I need to perform well or we may not win. Certainly one doesn't *need* to improve in order to crush pugs with premades, but I believe I do because I plan to compete against other premade teams once a team ladder or league is implemented. I believe that most premade teams feel the same. 

I disagree, I feel I work closely with my teammates very frequently. 

800 health is a huge chunk to pass up, it not only wins battles by itself against every other favor item early game, but provides valuable buffer towards surviving combos and stun-locks. 

Combined early game with nimoth chest armor, scalemail, and banded armor you can pretty much bully your way around the map until end-game.

On this board, as the number of posts in a given thread becomes large, the probability of it degenerating into an argument about premades and credibility approaches 1.
