Hey guys, still deciding on Demigod...have not yet took the plunge and bought it yet, It's a chalk between this and ARMA2 but what i wanted to say is that judging by the current state of the game and the continual beration of SD and GPG on these forums it would be wise of Stardock to get a demo out ASAP, word of mouth is the number one factor in determining sales of any product and since Demigods launch was criticised by most of the major review wesbites i believe that many gamers who originally intended to but it have been put off.
A demo right now would give the people that are still undecided (like myself) a chance to see if the gameplay really does makeup for the connection issues, crashes and abusive players that i hear so much about around here, they should also bite the bullet and release on STEAM, look at UT3...a game with decent sales on release but fell short of Epics expectations surrounding the franchise, 2 free weekends on Steam and a weekend deal saw UT3 soar in popularity and trump release sales by a large margin.
I know SD would never do this though, maybe an issue relating to their own digital download service but Steam is a client every gamer i know uses and it's populaity and maybe a deal on the title would bring in an influx of new gamers...even without the issues being fixed.
