I'm making a separate thread because I feel this issue needs to stand out a bit. Fact is, our forge tools, particularly the developer exe, are badly out of date and unusable. This presents us modders with an uphill and sometimes impossible battle while creating new content.

For example, I need to start balancing various units in my mod - without the developer exe and the ability to spawn ships at will, this taks is virtually impossible to do in any reasonable time frame.

Yes, I know the devs probably have other things to do, but at least uploading a developer executable (as far as I know its just a regular executable with the dev console enabled so it shouldn't take too long to do) would be great.
