Now you just screw over all the other people you play with (especially your teammates) because you're a sore loser and you cannot have fun unless you win. So you just make other's game experience crappy, but that's ok right, you paid $40 and by god you should be able to do anything you want. Funny how RL doesn't work like that. You ever meet up with your friends, for a game or something. Lets say soccer, and suddenly one side has 4 players and one has 5 because "screw you guys i'm going home!!"?
First off, I can have fun even without winning... but not in this game. I wonder why that is? I suspect it is because there is nothing to do for a loosing player, except being harassed and chased around the playfield. One of the drawbacks of stripping down an RTS to the bare essentials, perhaps?
Second, the thing is, I don't meet up with my friends in this game. I play against faceless, anonymous people on the internet, in a game with very poor communication options. So the social aspect of the game doesn't yield much empathy on my account, unfortunately (especially when you see the level of maturity on most of the posts on this forum). Also, if I get benched in that soccer game there will be a reserve player ready to jump in, and that's the AI.
So, for me, Stardock needs to do three things:
1) Make the game fun for the loosing side as well... (or improve the AI that matches up skirmish/Pantheon games to make them fair)
2) Improve the social aspect of the game... (call-for-help-shortcuts which are visible on the map, permanent chat display, etc)
3) Improve the AI for people who still quit... (the AI stands still too much, I think, and should react to those call-for-help-shortcuts)
I'm so glad there is a banlist in the works that will hopefully let me weed out people like you.
I'm also glad to hear that, then I can ban all you hardcore players and only play with the casual crowd.
