Trinklets - Should Their Price Be Reduced?

Anyone else think 90% of them are very, very underused atm? Apart from Heart of Life and Wand of Speed, they feel pretty useless to me and I would rather spend my money on other items. I think they need slight adjustments so they become viable items. Having these in game would really add depth imo as more active skills would be on the field.

Thoughts?

Heart of life needs to cost 12k and/or have a substantial increased cooldown. It's one of the most common items I buy and it changes my hero so much that it's basically like playing a different hero once you aquire it.

The 5500 item is total shit for its cost and needs to be reworked as well as several other items, but the same is true about most items in the game. Some items are clearly superior bang for their buck and certain items wont be used by anyone with a brain as a result.

Heart of life needs a cost increase of 1000g and the recharge doubled to 1 minute, and the heal duration doubled to 20 seconds, so it's slower.

Quite a lot of items in the game need reworking, but especially the trinkets and favor items.

Yeah this is a problem with all items. Some are bought every time (4th and 3rd helm anyone) and some are never bought (like most boots without +speed). Some are just too good, and some are shit. Badly balanced item pool.

In the beta it was cheaper and better - way way too OP and overused.

Heart of life needs to cost 12k and/or have a substantial increased cooldown.

Maybe increased cooldown but:
1. It takes up a disposable item slot.
2. Cost a good amount
3. Good players can stop the enemy effecitvely healing
4. HP/Mana pots can be just as effective, if not more as they can be used mid-battle.

But yea, it is very good-  but its not OP, so I think they should keep it.

That's one of the primary reasons it's so good.  If anything I think it should take up a left item slot then it's perfectly fine.

OMG people need to stop whining bout HoL.Yes its OP to generals but as an assassin its by far not even close to being OP.

as for items nah they are fine as is.

I never ever use it because it doesn't fit my play style but I think uping the cost by 500-750 would balance it out more. It is already pretty costly but around 5000 would make it ideal

the only 4 trinkets i've never used are sludge slinger, warlord's punisher, twig of life, and parasite egg.

so i dont know what you're talking about, the trinkets are some the best items in the game.

My change to HoL would be to simply double the heal duration. That alone would probably balance it, as you would have a lot more downtime, and it would be harder to get the full duration without being cancelled by angels or trebuchets or whatever.

 

There are some hidden gems in the trinket section. Narmoth's ring is actually a very good item for certain heroes, for example.
