Sounds simple. Frogboy, when the major connection issues are fixed, could this be added?
2 new things would be neat.
1. The option to make the demigod you play random.
2. A host option to make everyones demigod random.
Not an argument, let alone a great one. It improves my enjoyment which improves the quality of the game for me. Care to try again?
The random thing is a great idea. I personally would like to see the random mode have random DG, random map, *and random Mode. That would be awesome! Or* a way to configure exactly what is random when you host.
In my opinion, the more choices, the better. All random wouldn't be so bad. If you really think about it, I can start a game with all level 20 Demigods, 25k gold, and countless other changes. Just because the choice is there it doesn't make me want to use them any less or more.
The moment you join a game you have a random demigod selected. Ta da!
Of course, being random for the purpose of surprising your enemy is cool too.
It would be cool to hit a button and see the hero pics start rolling like a slot machine until it lands on a random one and auto checks the ready button for you.

How do other players "not enjoy" it when you go random?
Random is nice because it is very difficult to pick characters or form pre-game strategies to defeat the enemy. In this game it may not be such a big deal (especially if you can still just hit tab to see what demigod they landed on), but in Warcraft 3 I hated playing random people because my starting strategies differed depending on what race the enemy picked (some races were better at picking up early rushes than others). When they went random, I had to go the extra mile just to find out what exactly I was facing.
