alt tabbing out is hard on teh game..after a while it just wont do it anymore...and how else am i supposed to look at my opponents stats?

Windowed should be an option in the resolution choices in the video options.
add
/windowed 1024 768
to the shortcut
Use the "Windowed" option under resolution drop down.
