Truth to be told, I believe the best they can do is damage control; I am afraid these issues have built a reputation for the game already -and the grades given by gamespot and gamespy won't change.
As I've pointed out elsewhere, no one with any sense pays attention to gamespot (and by perhaps undeserved extension gamespy) anymore anyway. To many of the 'major' review sites will hammer a game not because it's bad, but because the producer doesn't advertise with them -- and the reverse, they'll let a game slide for the dough that comes from advertisement.
