What I have experience today/yesterday was pretty much this.
Today nothign but Crucible with 2 vs 2 and occasionally pantheon attempted bigger matchups, but the 'playerlog' was like 70-80 percent prefilled with bots. Those games were so rarely trying to launch, vs Crucible ones as the percentage of Crucibles even launching, because one person quit during matchup or couldnt connect.
None of my non-Crucible games launced during the whole evening of trying.
I would confirm on my part that NONE games ive was setup during the evening that happened or really were attempted were nothing but 2vs2's with the rare occasion of adding bots to the mix.
It looks like devs are trying to circumvent badly working networking structure/whatnot by using minimal number of RL players. As it seems the percentage of plaeyrbase really failing to connect, nat problems and frankly dev server problems making the games impossible to launch as more you got people in a game higher the chance seems to be that someone drops or breaks and thus the whole thing wont even launch.
