More DG's?

I read in a description somewhere that there would be about a dozen DG's in the game. I don't consider 8 to be almost a dozen. It also says something in the manual that there are 8 with more "waiting in the wings." Are there some unlockables or is this referring to future downloadable content? Can anyone shed light on this? Obviously the more DG's, the more interesting....

I can't shed anymore light on the issue but I'm curious about this as well.  I have seen it hinted / stated in several places that indeed there will be more, but I don't know times or locations.  Or anything really, but I am curious to know what has been said.

There are plans to release at least 2 free Demigods as DLC. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

Yeah, there are two new ones planned I believe.  I think that whether there will be more than the two additional probably depends on how well the game sells.
