Ingame nick

EDIT: I am well aware of the change nick function in my account on starboard forums and the change login on Impulse however these do not change your ingame nick for Demigod. It seems as if the first nick you login to Demigod saves it to a database and you can't change it later by changing the Impulse nick. At the moment I'm a bit afraid that this will cause problems in the long run, user plays demigod with nick A changes to B, months later a new guy buys demigod with a new account who has the nick A which the first guy changed from now what happens when he logs into Demigod?

Also I tried to change my login back in the beta and it did not change to my new one on release.

 

Original Message: How are we supposed to change the ingame nick from the impulse login which we used the first time.... I find this rather stupid in my case my old one isn't that bad but I'm sure there's a ton of people out there with really strange nicks that they never thought would show up in a game. Problem with mine is that it's part of a e-mail address with only lower case and well I really dislike it

Think we stuck... I'm stuck with an old account log in name which I think is an AIM name from 7 years ago. Wish I hadn't linked my Key to it, but didn't know that would be the game name, thought it would be my profile name in game:(

Edit... LOL, nevermind, was actually very simple to figure out, once you let me know you can change it.

Edit2... Weird, still shows me as the original name even though I logged in with the new name.

Well shows new name on the forum... But not on the bottom left hand part of game screen, where it says Logged in as:

Hmm. That's odd. Ask someone in IRC I suppose, it uses my forum name, but I've never had to change it so I don't know if it takes a little while to register or what.

You can also log in by using the username, not the e-mail.. have you tried that?

You may have already done this:

1. Click the Impulse icon in the top left of the screen

2. Select Change Log-in

Ya... It's working here, but not in game, maybe it takes some time. Not sure... Hopefully it'll change, otherwise now I'm gonna get confused

I'm going to bump this since I'd really like this fixed, saw several post of this during the beta and no good response. I was hoping I could get the login changed if they reset the DBs for release but it seems they didn't reset anything besides the stats.

Welcome to my hell. Its stuck displaying my First and Last name as my ingame nick. Its driving me nuts. I have a ticket in, and i'm waiting for a response.

I don't know if this is what your looking for but....

 

When you first start the game up go to Profiles...

Add a new one (can't delete the old one till you have a second profile)...

Name it what ever you like...then delete the other profile....

 

Is this what you want?

 

Edit: Opps no that didn't work for the multiplayer name...hmm

I'll tell you this though...the live servers haven't started yet so make sure to change all your names in SD/IMPULSE to what you want it to be so when you log in the first time on the new servers it will register that new one.

Ye I kind of hope the live servers will have fresh profiles because I really don't want to use my current nick that's stuck in the database.

Yes I am stuck with my Xbox Live name which I never use for pc gaming and is also not the name I use on this forum, pretty annoying I guess.

Oh well if I suck and you beat me at least you wont know who I am on here.....!
