Karma is something that other users can "give" to you if you provide helpful replies on the forums.  When people have more karma, it means they've provided lots of helpful answers on the forums.

Or you can take my aproach and still make karma, not that I ever wanted to but I got some anyway. check it out why I have some karma. I think that is a better way to get it IMO.
