[Suggestion] Random Demigod

I think it would be nice if there was a button to select a random Demigod. Either random from both assassins and generals, and/or random assassin / random general.

Totally agree.

 

And just because I'm used to it from DoTA - having all random or all draft modes as an option for hosting would be rad.

seconded!... or thirded?  whatever is next

I would want the option of being 'random assassin' or 'random general'.  I'd want this to be an option for the pantheon as well, pick random from the side available.

Actually, what I would want most is a feature that lets me pick which demigods to include or not include when I pick random.  (needs a random button 1st).  So lets say I hate playing rook, oak, and QoT, I uncheck that one from the random options menu, and then whenever I select random it picks randomly from the remaining demigods.  I think it would be easy to create just using an array of pointers, with a setting in the options menu to adjust what goes into the array, then randomly picking one of the pointers based on a random number or something.

Yeah, I would definitely want Random Demigod, Random General, Random Assassin, Random Light, and Random Dark.

There was a "random Demigod" in like beta 1, wasn't there? I wonder why it's gone now. I agree though. Having different randomizations would be cool.

It'd definately make for an interesting tournament or some such. As like, host a tournament to win something in-game or out-game, but play 100% random characters/maps/etc.

/signed, just putting this out their. In a game i played if u picked random u started with 1.5 more starting supplies and had a 10% chance of getting and extrat 100 health. Starting health 300. starting supplies 40 would than 60. it wasn't that much in either parts but it was interesting.

I need this.

Perhaps also implement an option so the random choice only selects from certain 'allowed' Demigods? For example, I'm decent with everyone except Erebus and Regelus, and I have no interest in playing them at all. So I could go to some options menu and prevent Ere/Reg from getting selected from the random generator.

Yeah, but in other nameless games, there are some balance issues, and people tend to favor certain characters way more than others.  So to provide incentive to play every character, they give you extra supplies.  I think it'd be a bit unbalancing here.  It takes a little while to get 500 gold in the early game, and could result in an easy DG kill early against someone who didn't have that advantage.  I think if you want to play random, then that's your choice, you shouldn't get an advantage for it.  Other than that, I think it's a good idea, especially the ability to choose all random in custom games.
