Ships lvls

An idear hit me when dchan1936 mentioned refits in one of the other posts. Why not have it so that when a ship lvl's up a "new" item is added onto the ships, like a new wing secion, a battle bridge or shield generators attached to the hulls. As the lvl progresses the ship gets stronger, but there is no physical change to show that appart from the lvl marker that tells you what lvl your ship is.

Ok..well if you dont want any PHYSICAL changes then the way the cap ships work NOW is perfect for you and I dont see the point of this. Cap ships get extra hull, shield, attack points each time they level..aint that enough to reflect them getting stronger WITHOUT adding new components???

Now if you wanna add components its now possible thanks to entrenchment but from what youre saying...game does it fine as of yet!

Thanks for quoting me, I think u are, but still I guess shadow has a point, why fix something that isn't broken, but I do want to make it look better, or maybe even if you get a certain research you add a physical item to your building or whatever, make it look like a repair job or something

well, maybe when the ship gets Ability A L1 a new module appears and when L3 the module is more advanced looking.  Not sure if this can be done, but would be really cool if done properly.  KOL with Gauss Cannon 3 -tribarrel side cannon of pwnage.  Marza with additional missile systems for the missile barrage... yeah, mucho cool.

Yes I agree about that but OP states WITHOUT PHYSICAL EVIDENCE!! from that the question..well the game already is like that..why change!

  I think they are saying it is done "now" without evidence, and that he would like to see "new wing sections", "bridge additions", "add-on shield projector's".      At least that is the way i read it.   

I would like that too!!!   And i think that IC is headed that way.     By the end of the third expansion we'll be just about perfect!!!!.
