RakNET doing Multiplayer Code and/or Audio?

Hey all,

Noticed the front page had a new icon on the bottom along with GPG, Stardock, AMD and Games for Windows. The other I cons have been there for a while so I wondered what this RakNET is. I clicked the icon and found they are a company that provides networking solutions for games. Their slogan is "Multiplayer on a Deadline", sure sounds like where we are at.

Their setup provides:

lobbies
matchmaking
quick match
ranking
voice chat
NAT punchthrough (what stardock has had problems with, basically allowing people to play behind routers without manually opening ports)
map syncing (for custom matches)

What are your thoughts?

Anyone from GPG or Stardock want to clarify what is going on?

After looking through Latest Liscencees, I see stardock used them for The Political Machine with Cari_Elf (Cari Begle) sayinf she was "very impressed by how quickly I was able to implement multiplayer with RakNET".

I wonder if Stardock is licensing their system for longterm use in Impulse or if this is an interim which will be replaced as they have time?

Either way, if the integration is simple it's most likely a very good idea to use a proven API, especially considering release is just around the corner.
